11.06.2021: Appointment of Dr. Kriebitzsch as honorary professor at FAU

Since 2011, Dr. Ingo Kriebitzsch has been a lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering at the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems (FAPS) for the lecture: “Automotive Engineering” and has consistently achieved excellent lecture evaluations. For his commitment as well as his close and long-standing relationship with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical Faculty of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Dr. Ingo Kriebitzsch is appointed Honorary Professor of Automotive Engineering.

Prof. Kriebitzsch studied manufacturing engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and received his doctorate on the topic: “3-D-MID Technology in Automotive Engineering” at the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems. After receiving his doctorate, he held various management positions in charge of electrical/electronic development at major automobile manufacturers such as BMW AG, Audi AG and the FiatChryslerAutomotive Group.

He has remained loyal to the field of mechatronic integrated devices (MID) to this day and is involved both professionally and organizationally in the 3-D MID e.V. research association, most recently as chairman of the research advisory board. In addition, he has published a considerable number of papers despite his great responsibility in the industry, and he is a constructive member of VDA technical committees.
