The publication “Smart Manufacturing Traceability for Automotive E/E Systems enabled by Event-Driven Microservice Architecture” by Marlene Kuhn and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Franke was awarded the Best Presentation Award in the session Mechanical Design and Vehicle Engineering, which took place within the IEEE International Conference on Mechanical and Intelligent Manufacturing Technologies (ICMIMT) from the 20th to 22nd January 2020 in Cape Town, South Africa.
In the awarded publication, a traceability system for the production of E/E systems is modeled and implemented in a decentralized and event-driven information system architecture. The developed traceability system addresses the shortcomings of monolithic traceability solutions and allows easy scaling and configuration of track and trace functionalities.
