08.12.2020: New High-Temperature Furnace: LHT 02/17

The Research Sector Electronics Production at the Chair of FAPS was expanded by a high-temperature furnace (LHT 02/17) made by Nabertherm GmbH. This furnace achieves maximum temperature of 1750°C and is therefore suitable for sintering ceramic green bodies out of alumina oxide, for example.

Using the Controller P470, simple and individual programming of up to 50 programs with 40 segments each is storable. Measurement accuracy is ± 1°C.

From now on, ceramic substrates can not only be printered additively with 3D-printing technologies and debindered at FAPS but also be sintered with the necessary temperatures, using the new high-temperature furnace. This constitutes an important move on the road to completely additive production of electronic assemblies with ceramic circuit carriers, as it is researched in the Project “Additive4Industry – Printed Electronics on 3D substrates”, for example.
