01.07.2023: New Research Associate at the chair FAPS | Patrick Ehrlicher, M.Sc.

Beginning July 1st 2023, Patrick Ehrlicher joins the electromechanical engineering research group as a graduate research associate. Upon receiving a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University, Mr. Ehrlicher completed a seven-year career as a Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. He recently completed a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg while concurrently supporting research initiatives at FAPS as a student research assistant. His master’s thesis, completed in support of the ProDRIMo research project, investigates robot-based insertion of wire coils into stator bodies using an industrial robot arm with a ROS interface.

His work at FAPS will concentrate on the production and infrastructure integration of inductive energy transfer modules for electrified streets.
