Project description
Currently, we live in a rapidly changing world that requires a specialized society. Therefore, project OUTDOC focuses on the resulting requirements for people on the labour market, while taking into account the new technologies. More than one million jobs are expected to be created in emerging sectors such as renewable energies, digital and technological sectors. Among other things, these jobs require a high level of research competence. However, it is foreseeable that these jobs will not be filled. The aim of the project is therefore to contribute to the employability of doctoral students in these areas. Furthermore, the transition from the Master’s to the doctoral program and finally to the labor market is to be simplified and further developed. In addition, alternative ways of integration into the labour market will be explored.
With the project “Outplacement Support for Doctorates in Emerging Areas / OUTDOC” the chair FAPS could win the first Knowledge-Alliance-Project of the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. The FAPS chair cooperates with the following international project partners: the University of Salamanca and the company “IDimás Gestión” from Spain, the University of Maribor and the company “Gorenje Surovina” from Slovenia, the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University and the company “Brandweb Design” from Romania and the German company partner “ITQ GmbH”.
