The „ColEP“ research project addresses the collaborative usage of data in electronics production. It examines the advantages of solutions for a collaborative usage of process-, quality- and metadata by both electronics and plant manufacturers. It aims towards applying data from multiple companies for realizing various AI use cases while maintaining the data private. In this regard, the project applies GAIA-X concepts to create a framework which guarantees data sovereignty for the owner. In this context, both federated learning and the integration into existing sovereign data infrastructures are investigated.
