Fabian Hartner has joined the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems as a Research Assistant on August 1^st 2019. He graduated in Industrial Engineering with focus on Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc.) at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.

During his Master studies he wrote both Project and Master’s thesis at the Chair of FAPS. In this context, he developed a method to evaluate and compare cloud based IIoT platform solutions and their modelling in an extensible ontology.

Within the scope of his research work, Mr. Hartner will focus on digital platforms in the manufacturing industry.
