04.03.2022: FAPS became member of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement

Whether in electromobility, in the context of Industry 4.0, in Mars exploration or in assistance systems in automobiles: sensors and measurement technology are the key technologies of modern engineering.

The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement unites all those involved in sensors and measurement technology. Founded in 1981 as the AMA Working Group for Transducers (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Messwertaufnehmer e.V.) , the Association can draw on the technical competence of about 450 member enterprises and institutes in the sensor industry. In this context, AMA represents the interests of its members in the economic policy environment and connects innovators from research, development, manufacturing and distribution with representatives from a wide range of user industries. At the same time, a competent network is offered for industry and science as well as a broad platform to jointly develop innovative solutions.

Since 04.03.2022, the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg is now also officially part of this network, in order to actively participate in the committee work and to exchange ideas with the other members on innovative topics in the field of sensor and measurement technology.
