Sustainability is the “mega-topic” of this century in all areas of life and the economy. In order to make regions, communities and the economy permanently fit for the future, the transformation to a sustainable way of life will have to succeed. This structural change, which we will have to master in the course of the next decades, contains gigantic potentials that can be used in many ways, especially through creative and innovative entrepreneurship, to improve the regional quality of life without affecting the rest of the planet.

By pressing the green start button, the City of Nuremberg and ENERGIEregion Nürnberg e.V., together with partners FAPS and EAN, today launched the NKubator – Innovation and Start-up Center for Energy, GreenTech and Sustainability!

Through this cooperation, a unique start-up and technology center for sustainability is being created at the location “Auf AEG”. The NKubator supports and shapes the transformation process towards sustainable management with a special focus on GreenTech and technology-intensive start-ups, but also provides offers for companies from the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg that want to position themselves in a future-oriented and sustainable way. Due to the close connection to the chair FAPS, the start-ups benefit from the modern facilities for parts manufacturing, assembly and electronics production, a powerful IT infrastructure and the intensive exchange of knowledge with highly qualified employees. In the NKubator, founders are given room to grow and companies are actively supported with design knowledge for sustainability. With its mix of business and science, the science and innovation quarter “Auf AEG” offers the ideal environment for sustainability and green technologies.
